There is a continuous growth in the numbers of people (youth majorly) interested in participating, learning and competing in lacrosse game related activities in Africa.
1st Afri Lax clinic 18/05/2016 Kampala-Uganda.
This however has found a gap in different lacrosse playing African communities due to the limitation in availability of cross fit experienced lacrosse player-coaches who can be able to facilitate in orientation programs in areas of game psychology and maintain high safety game precautions at the same time.
45 playing youth (boys and girls) ages 15-25 attended in three teams and individuals.
Maceik Nowak from Poland however was quick to close the gap by accepting to share the most needed knowledge in an event that was massive and very successful and also asked that the event should be held annually for continuous growth.

However lacrosse programs in Africa ie Uganda,Kenya,South Africa and Malawi still have a serious logistical supplies shortages which has cut back on the speed at which game participation is growing.

This however has not entirely discouraged the super dedicated generation of young players who are continuously waiting on game lovers to donate both new and used equipment to programs they belong to.

To enable the growth of the game of lacrosse you can donate financially and also used and new equipment to our agents next to you. email africalacrosse@gmail.com also on facebook and twitter facebook.com/africalacrosse.

Introduction.

Lacrosse is not only the fastest game but also the fastest growing game across the globe and AFRICA is inclusive:
  • Africa Lacrosse is the umbrella platform that was ideologically established August 2014 to provide a common ground for administration and technical support for all African Lacrosse playing nations interested in growing the game.
  • This campaign is purposed to kick start the Malawi Lacrosse project in the Southern parts of the country, where for over a year an interest letter was forwarded to us inviting us to grow the game there.
  • The lacrosse programs will provide mostly the school going school children a chance to express thy inner abilities and also provide them a chance to speak a global language through lacrosse which is played across the globe.
  • Contributions in monetary terms is the major aim to be able to facilitate transport costs for the first group of volunteer coaches from Uganda to Malawi and back.

Campaign Goals.

This is what we look forward at achieving:
  • Cash facilitation for kick starting lacrosse program. 2000 USD
  • Facilitate 2 (male and female) volunteer coaches.500 USD
  • Cover transport and visa fees (to and from) 1500 USD
  • Provide accomodation/meals facilitation for two weeks.1000 USD

The Impact.

For the complete two weeks stay in Malawi, the Africa Lacrosse facilitated coaches will do the following:
  • Orientation training programs for coaches (8-12),players and game officials. This program will cover all the major areas by explaining all guidelines.
  • Lacrosse safety precautions and body conditioning to avoid beginner injuries..
  • Make available all lacrosse literature for sustainable continuation of training programs after the two weeks clinics.
  • The 1st Lacrosse Clinic will there after be help to kick start a national aspiration to associate with the Federation of International Lacrosse.

Challenges

The increased willingness of youngsters to learn and competitively participate in lacrosse games has led to bottlenecks from logistical supplies mostly equipment, sticks and balls.
The demands from different school administrators to enroll lacrosse programs in their school surpasses the availability of necessary equipment.

You can also offer equipment support by collecting used and new equipment towards Africa Lacrosse agents in your location.
