Lacrosse has never been as hyped as it is in the world today due to it's acceptance in the African sporting culture. The game that jumped into the mainstream in Uganda 2011 has now spread through East Africa and Kenya is a hub.

Kenya girls lacrosse team played two games in Uganda 2016 in the High School Girls Lacrosse Championship in March and eventual winners of the East Africa 7's U-19 game beating Uganda hands down in August.

DBA Sports Director Storm Trentham and the architect of the Kenya Girls Lacrosse program broke the news of Coach Douglas being invited by the English and Wales Lacrosse community to attend the world event that in many ways will be a learning experience much needed for his work in western Kenya.

For the budding lacrosse communities in Africa, only such opportunities can bring about tangible knowledge sharing for purposes of growth.
