SALP Camp 2016. |
2016 marked the 10th anniversary of the SALP a lacrosse program that brings together so many children (boys and girls) from South Africa/Limpopo to share, learn and bond together using the game of lacrosse.
The leaders of the program are surely delighted by the collaboration of the local people provided the numbers of the children in these programs keeps growing.
And also volunteer coaches from other African nations and also USA and Europe are a bigger push in improving the skills of the players and the quality of play.
By all means South Africa could be the 3rd African state to be inducted to be a member of the Federation of International lacrosse after Uganda and Kenya.
The growing number of talented players learning the game of lacrosse helps to bond more the Global lacrosse community and also helps to increase the effort towards goals like making lacrosse an Olympic game preferably by 2024.
Thank you everyone for supporting the South Africa Lacrosse project and also other lacrosse programs in Africa.
In other news the Uganda vs Kenya U-19 boys game to be played in August in Kampala will be the stepping stone into major Africa Lacrosse nations competition which grow players anxiety to bring out the best and also take part.
